As you grow along the Grace Pathway, God motivates you and prepares you for something big. He equips you to serve people. He prepares you to give of yourself without losing yourself. That’s why Milestone 4 in the Grace Pathway is “God Uses You.”
Serving alongside others is an ideal way to meet people, develop friendships and make an impact in the community. Usher
Work to support the smooth functioning of our services each weekend by helping people find seating, taking the offering, and passing communion during our weekend services. Ushers serve during one service each weekend, working one month on and two months off. Training provided.

Greeter
Welcome guests and visitors as they arrive by greeting them at the door with a warm smile and handing out programs. Greeters serve during one service each weekend, working one month on and two months off. Training provided.

Communion Prep Team
Prepare communion trays with cups of juice and wafers on the second weekend of the month. Volunteers work before or after one service. Training provided.

The HUB Information Desk
Be a smiling face at the information desk one service a month! Assist guests with brochures, directions, and general information about life at Pathway Church. Training provided.

Coffee Service
Greet guests with a smile and a cup of coffee. Volunteers serve 1-2 times per month. Training provided.

Life Safety Team (Security)
Work to promote a safe environment during weekend services and designated church events. Staffed primarily by current and honorably retired peace officers, and current and honorably retired professional firefighters.

Volunteers work as scheduled to assist with parking-related issues during weekend services. Training provided.

Weekend Prep Team
Resupply both the Ministry Center and the Worship Center with the materials needed for weekend services. Team members work about one hour a week for one month a year.

Support Team
Members of this hospitality team plan and facilitate “Appreciation Events”. These events are an opportunity to thank all of the Guest Ministries volunteers for their time and service at Pathway Church.

Prayer Team
Prayer Team members pray with people requesting prayer after each of our services. Screening and training provided. Prayer team members serve after one service each weekend, a minimum of twice per month. Consistency is important.

Community of Prayer Team
Community of Prayer volunteers meet Sunday evenings at church to pray over the prayer requests from the weekend services written on Get Connected cards as well as pray over the staff of Neighborhood.

Sound Tech
Set up and take down audio equipment before and after weekend practices and services. Run soundboard during weekend practices and services. Prompter
Facilitate what appears on the screens during the weekend services. This includes slides, videos, lyrics and sermon notes. Basic computer skills are required. Training is provided to operate ProPresenter5 and any other necessary equipment. Time commitment varies based on individual availability and is typically one weekend every 4–6 weeks. For weekend services, you must be available during Saturday practice from 12:30-4:15pm and during all weekend service times. For Classic service, you must be available during Saturday practice from 10-11am and Sunday from 9-11am.

Instrumentalist

Vocalist
We are currently accepting vocalists for our adult choir. Typically this is for the Christmas and Easter services but may include more special events in the future. Time commitment varies depending on the event and will typically include practice and dress rehearsal time before the event itself. Classic Vocalist
We are currently accepting vocalists for our Classic service. Vocalists must be available during Saturday practice from 10-11am and Sunday from 9-11am.

Food Volunteer
Provide breakfast or dinner for the worship team. Time commitment is typically once every month or every other month. There are two time slots to choose from: Saturday dinner at 4:15pm, Sunday Breakfast at 9:00am.

This team will provide feedback to the Jr. High Pastor about how well students are relating to the messages in Jr. High, the issues most important to parents and how communication between parents and the Jr. High ministry can be the most effective. This parent group would also provide help to the Jr. High Pastor as needed on special projects.

Atmosphere Team
This team oversees Stage Design, Lighting, Décor, Room Layout and General Room Arrangements. This is an incredibly important aspect of our ministry. The time commitment of this Team averages 4-8 hours once a month on a weekend or weeknight depending on the project. Each project begins by determining the strategy of the atmosphere. Team members primarily serve during the week as projects will need to be completed by the next service time.

Life Group Team
The Life Group Team serves students by leading, co- leading or hosting a Life Group. Administrative work is also part of the process. Life Groups run in two semesters: Fall and Spring. The time commitment is two hours per week when Life Groups are meeting.

Creative Team
The Creative Team supports Sr. High’s mission by creating Art, Graphics, Video, Games and Events. These efforts sync with the current message series. You help through your God-given creativity. A person serving on this team should plan on committing 2+ hours a week depending on the project.

Music Team
The Music Team is made up of the band, band support, instrumentalists and singers. This team serves students by planning and playing music for services and events. A tryout/interview process is the entry to this team. Time commitment is 3-4 hours each week.

Technical Team
The Technical Team fills their role by setting up equipment, instruments and sound systems before services and events. This team also runs the sound board, controls the mix and manages any media used in each service. All of this is done in an effort to help students find and follow God. A Technical Team member would commit to 4+ hours on a weekend between setup, serving and teardown.

Connection Team
The Connection Team connects Sr. High Ministry and it’s mission to Families—Sunday service and manages Follow-up. Our heart is to connect with families and students. We do this by greeting, engaging and connecting with them on Sundays and throughout the week. We do this by personal interaction, phone conversations, notes, Facebook, Instagram and event attendance. You greet and engage and pursue connection. Time commitment for this team is three hours per week.

Events Team
The Events Team oversees the idea, planning, organizing, setup, teardown and debrief of our events. This team includes many roles from forming an idea into an event to mobilizing people to pull off the concept. This team coordinates with the Sr. High Pastor. The time commitment varies from 2-10 hours each week depending on the event.

This Team coordinates needs inside and outside of Neighborhood Church. The idea is that students and staff have opportunities available to connect their passion and talent in meeting needs. The time commitment varies from 2-4 hours each week depending on the opportunity.

The Pathway Refreshers
Based on the premise of providing a cup of cold water to refresh someone who is thirsty, the Refreshers show the love of Christ by meeting the practical needs of people in our church who are in crisis. This includes cooking, cleaning, childcare, yard work and whatever else is needed to support a family going through a crisis or difficult season of life.

Courtside Prayer Ministry
Serve with a team of prayer warriors from area churches to man a “Need Prayer?” table at the courthouse. Provide people with prayer, free Bibles, Christian resources and referrals to local churches and faith-based service organizations. Thursdays from 8am-12pm. There is an application process.

Garden Therapy Outreach to Nursing Homes
3 times a year (before Christmas, Valentine’s Day and Mother’s Day), volunteers meet to make up flower arrangements for seniors and shut-ins to brighten their day. No experience needed. All supplies provided.
